A Small Bedside Cot That Attaches to Your Adult Bed
A crib that is placed near your bed can help you keep your baby close to you at night without the need to get up. The breathable fabric allows you to easily see your baby and they are easy to lower when you need an early feeding.
Some double as a moses basket too.
What is a bedside crib?
bedside travel cot , also known as a bassinet or co-sleeper is a baby cot attached to your adult bed. This allows your baby to sleep next to you in peace. This is a safe form of co-sleeping that does not increase the risk of SIDS like bedsharing. It also helps you bond with your newborn baby.
The cots usually have a side that can be adjusted so that you can easily reach your baby throughout the night for feeding and comforting. This is particularly helpful for mothers recovering from an op. Many are also foldable or portable, so you can bring them along on trips and use them as a sleeping solution for newborns who aren't quite ready to move into a cot that is full size.
When you are looking for a bedside crib, look for a model with a comfortable mattress and a cover to shield your baby from the stains. It is also advisable to purchase baby-safe accessories like a blanket, teether and cuddly toy.
If you're looking for a more long-term solution cribs are available with conversion kits that allow you to convert them into a toddler bed or a cot when the time is appropriate. This can extend their lifespan and make the transition smoother. Some even have a detachable top section that converts into an infant bed, and some can be used on either the regular or high-rise adult bed. This is a great option for families who plan to frequently travel or switch between bedrooms in the evening. Be aware of the dimensions of your room to ensure you fit comfortably in the crib. Many cribs have an incline that can be used to create an incline to accommodate babies with reflux.
The Joie Roomie Glide
The Roomie Glide, a bedside crib manufactured by the English brand Joie is a fantastic addition to their range of high-quality baby products. The co-sleeper was created to help parents connect and sleep side-by-side with their children without sharing one bed. It is full of features that make bonding between parent and baby secure, easy, and fun.
One of the main features is a smooth rocking motion that can be activated with the touch of an button. This gentle rhythm can help soothe your baby into sleep without disrupting their natural sleep patterns. This is great for older babies and toddlers who struggle to settle and can also help with digestion problems such as reflux and colic.
The crib can also be fixed to the side of the bed using an attachment strap and clip. This makes the crib very solid and secure and allows you to sleep soundly without worrying that your child will slide off into the middle. The cocoon's rounded shape has soft padding on the sides as well as double mesh windows at both ends. This allows airflow while keeping your baby safe.
The included mattress is comfortable and firm and is covered in a washable material. The crib is easy to assemble and disassemble with the lightweight aluminum frame that makes it extremely portable. The four wheels that are rubber-covered and lockable ensure that the crib will not leave marks on your flooring and is easy to move. The crib is easy to clean thanks to the fabric that wipes clean and is easily put in a bag for the duration of your stay.
The Tutti Bambini CoZeeAir
It is designed to be a secure next-to-me crib from birth to six months old, this premium model has rocking bars and castors for easy mobility. The airflow mattress is a premium model that provides an ideal sleeping surface and the ventilation panels ensure your baby is kept cool. There are 6 different height settings and an incline option that could help with reflux and congestion.

The Tutti Bambini COZee air crib comes with a removable fabric and wipe-clean lining. This makes it much easier to clean than bedside cribs that are a mess to clean. It also has an upper bar that can be easily adjusted to feed at night without having to fumble with zips in the dark.
Anna found the CoZee to provide a safe, comfortable sleeping space for her infant. She liked that it didn't move like other models so she wasn't disturbed at night while trying to comfort her child for feedings. She also liked that the side lowered down so she didn't have to reach out over her partner to carry the baby out for night time feeds.
The CoZee is available in oak and charcoal and is a beautiful addition to the bedroom. It's more a designer piece than some of the other cribs we've tested, and can look quite utilitarian in comparison. It's also fairly light at just 11kg and comes with a carry bag so you can carry it away on holidays or if you're moving your home. The only extras you require are a fitted waterproof sheet and a co-sleeping safety strap. The instructions and images are easy to follow when you first open the box.
The Maxi-Cosi Lora
The Iora is a bassinet designed for infants designed to help parents feel closer to their baby while they sleep. It adjusts upwards and downwards and slides through three positions to be placed next to the parent's bed, or in the corner of the room so that baby is always within arm's reach. The mesh siding is breathable, allowing air to flow through and allows you to glance at your child. You can also put away extra pajamas or supplies in the large basket underneath.
The Iora is a smaller bedside cot that can fold flat. It also comes with a travel bag so it can be carried anywhere. Our mom testers found it easy to move from room to room, and believed it was a great size for a small bedside cot, not too big or too small. The large storage basket is perfect for storing extra bedding or nappies.
This is a great choice for parents who want to sleep together, but don't wish to share their bed. Also, if one of the partners suffers from mobility issues, such as back pain or arthritis. Our mums who tested it loved the ease with which they could access their child in the Iora and that it came with an optional reflux incline that helped reduce gas.
Our moms love that it follows NICE guidelines. These are to place an infant in the Moses basket or crib on its own without blankets, toys and pillows. They also say that the mattress is comfortable and firm for babies and is easy to find sheets for. It's not as light as the other cribs that are smaller however, so if you want something lighter and more portable, look at other options in our list.
